We play a key role in working within the Apprenticeship and Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector as advisors, influencers and subject matter experts working on the principle that organisations “don’t know what they don’t know”.

Enabling key management reports to focus on the relevant information to maximise return on investment and compliance. As a team we are able to provide you with the most up-to-date funding advice and guidance, to ensure your business is fully compliant.
Uploading the ILR using a variety of systems available to training providers from the free ILR tool to products such as PICs and Aptem. The Seren Skills team can support with ESFA Compliance and internal audit of ongoing activity.

Seren Skills have been instrumental in their support given to Professional Apprenticeships over the years in readiness for Ofsted and they've helped us become an Outstanding provider. They've supported our self-assessment, our quality improvement plan and continual improvements towards our quality cycle. The list is endless. They've been professional and knowledgeable but also just a nice team of people to work with.
We engaged with Seren Skills initially to support and mentor our senior management team in preparation for our upcoming Ofsted inspection, however, this project then expanded into other functional areas of the business. Seren Skills provided expertise and direction as non-executive directors, providing extensive MIS and compliance knowledge to the Board. Seren Skills were integral in securing a successful Ofsted inspection.
In partnership with local education institutions, KLM UK Engineering has been training apprentices for 40 years. In 2023, the company decided to branch out as an Ofsted main provider for the first time. Seren Skills network was selected to support this transition and ensured the process was smooth and successful. Since this approval was achieved, Seren Skills have continued to provide advice and guidance around key areas of compliance such as funding, qualifications and Ofsted inspections. During a recent new provider monitoring visit with Ofsted, Hannah and Emma were instrumental in guiding the team through the process, ensuring that we achieved at least ‘reasonable progress’ in all areas of the inspection. Overall, we highly recommend Seren Skills as a consultant partner. They have helped us to maintain regulatory compliance and have helped to upskill our team so they understand what they need to do to be successful in their job roles.
Ofsted Good was our goal The team at Seren Skills boosted confidence in our own ability to drive up quality. This undoubtedly helped us gain Ofsted Good in December 24.
